O Callas Vase é a resposta de Paulo Goldstein à proposta do curador Bruno Simões de projetar um vaso para o design contemporâneo “Galeria Nicoli” como parte do São Paulo Design Weekend.
“Essa tipologia é historicamente responsável por ilustrar aspectos comportamentais e refletir seu tempo, além de ser a mídia perfeita para a expressão artística livre e total. De Piero Fornasetti, a Ettore Sottsass, a designers contemporâneos, este formato é fundamental para a criação de uma identidade própria e tornou-se um dos elementos mais emblemáticos da recente coleção de Artes Aplicadas.
A liberdade de formas possíveis e materiais a serem alcançados através desta tipologia faz com que seja perfeita para uma exposição cujo aspecto principal é a apresentação do universo de cada designer e a sua apreciação como criador, muito mais do que apenas uma seleção de produtos. ”
O vaso de Callas foi projetado observando e seguindo as linhas naturais da flor de Callas, onde as linhas de vaso são feitas para realçar e apoiar a leveza da flor.

From Piero Fornasetti, to Ettore Sottsass, to contemporary designers, this format is fundamental for the creation of an identity of its own and has become one of the most iconic elements of recent collection of Applied Arts.
The freedom of possible forms and materials to be achieved through this typology makes it perfect for an exhibition whose main aspect is the presentation of the universe of each designer and his appreciation as creator, much more than just a selection of products.”
The Callas vase was designed by observing and following the natural lines of the Callas flower, where the vase lines are made to enhance and support the lightness of the flower.
